Transireque fecit filios suos per ignem in valle Benennom : observabat somnia, sectabatur auguria, maleficis artibus inserviebat, habebat secum magos et incantatores, multaque mala operatus est coram Domino ut irritaret eum.
He sacrificed his sons in the fire (note: Literally made his sons pass through the fire) in the Valley of Ben-hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.
