καὶ αὐτὸς διήγαγεν τὰ τέκνα αὐτοῦ ἐν πυρὶ ἐν γέ βανὲ Ἐννόμ· καὶ ἐκληδονίζετο καὶ ἐφαρμακεύετο καὶ οἰωνίζετο, καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐνγαστριμύθους καὶ ἐπαοιδοὺς· ἐπλήθυνεν τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐναντίον Κυρίου τοῦ παροργίσαι αὐτόν, καὶ ἔθηκεν τὸ γλυπτὸν τὸ χωνευτόν, εἰκόνα ἣν ἐποίησεν, ἐν οἴκῳ θεοῦ οὗ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Δαυεὶδ καὶ Σαλωμὼν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτοῦ Ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ καὶ Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἣν ἐξελεξάμην ἐκ πασῶν φυλῶν Ἰσραήλ, θήσω τὸ ὄνομά μου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.
He sacrificed his sons in the fire (note: Literally made his sons pass through the fire) in the Valley of Ben-hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.
