Wherefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the host of the king (note: Heb. which were the kings) of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters (note: Or, chains), and carried him to Babylon.
So the LORD brought against them the military commanders of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh, put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon.
