Amatsia rassembla les hommes de Juda et les plaça d’après les maisons paternelles, les chefs de milliers et les chefs de centaines, pour tout Juda et Benjamin; il en fit le dénombrement depuis l’âge de vingt ans et au-dessus, et il trouva trois cent mille hommes d’élite, en état de porter les armes, maniant la lance et le bouclier.
Then Amaziah gathered the people of Judah and assigned them according to their families to commanders of thousands and of hundreds. And he numbered those twenty years of age or older throughout Judah and Benjamin and found 300,000 chosen men able to serve in the army, bearing the spear and shield.
