καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Ἰωὰς βασιλεὺς Ἰσραὴλ πρὸς Ἀμάσειαν βασιλέα Ἰούδα λέγων χοζεὶ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς τὴν κέδρον τὴν ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ λέγων Δὸς τὴν θυγατέρα σου τῷ υἱῷ μου εἰς γυναῖκα, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐλεύσεται τὰ θηρία τοῦ ἀγροῦ τὰ ἐν τῷ Λιβάνῳ· καὶ ἦλθαν τὰ θηρία καὶ κατεπάτησαν τὸν ἁχούχ.
But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: “A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, saying, ‘Give your daughter to my son in marriage.’ Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle.
