Le temps venu de livrer le coffre aux inspecteurs du roi par l'intermédiaire des lévites, lorsque ceux-ci voyaient qu'il y avait beaucoup d'argent dans le coffre, le secrétaire du roi et le commissaire du grand prêtre venaient vider le coffre ; ils le prenaient et le remettaient à sa place. Ainsi faisaient-ils chaque fois, et ils recueillaient de l'argent en abondance.
Whenever the chest was brought by the Levites to the king’s overseers and they saw that there was a large amount of money, the royal scribe and the officer of the high priest would come and empty the chest and carry it back to its place. They did this daily and gathered the money in abundance.
