And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away (note: Heb. carried captive) all the substance that was found in the king’s house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz (note: Or, ahaziah, chap. 22.1. Or, Azariah, ver. 6), the youngest of his sons.
So they went to war against Judah, invaded it, and carried off all the possessions found in the king’s palace, along with his sons and wives; not a son was left to him except Jehoahaz (note: Jehoahaz is a variant of Ahaziah; see 2 Chronicles 22:1.), his youngest.
