And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, conquering Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim (note: Abel-maim was also known as Abel-beth-maacah; see 1 Kings 15:20.), and all the store cities of Naphtali.
וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע בֶּן הֲדַ֜ד אֶל־ הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָסָ֗א וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח אֶת־ שָׂרֵ֨י הַחֲיָלִ֤ים אֲשֶׁר־ לוֹ֙ אֶל־ עָרֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיַּכּוּ֙ אֶת־ עִיּ֣וֹן וְאֶת־ דָּ֔ן וְאֵ֖ת אָבֵ֣ל מָ֑יִם וְאֵ֥ת כָּֽל־ מִסְכְּנ֖וֹת עָרֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִֽי׃
