καὶ εἶπεν Δαυεὶδ πρὸς ᾿ Αγχούς Τί πεποίηκά σοι κοὶ τί εὗρες ἐν τῷ δούλῳ σου ἀφ’ ἧς ἡμέρας ἤμην ἐνώπιόν σου καὶ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης, ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἔλθω πολεμῆσαι τοὺς ἑ ἐχθροὺς τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως ;
“But what have I done?” David replied. “What have you found against your servant, from the day I came to you until today, to keep me from going along to fight against the enemies of my lord the king?”
