καὶ εἶπεν Δαυιδ πρὸς Ιωναθαν ἰδοὺ δὴ νεομηνία αὔριον καὶ ἐγὼ καθίσας οὐ καθήσομαι μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως φαγεῖν καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖς με καὶ κρυβήσομαι ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ ἕως δείλης
So David told him, “Look, tomorrow is the New Moon (note: That is, the New Moon feast; also in verses 18, 24, and 27), and I am supposed to dine with the king. Instead, let me go and hide in the field until the third evening from now.
