After David had finished speaking with Saul, the souls of Jonathan and David were knit together, and Jonathan loved him as himself.
וַיְהִ֗י כְּכַלֹּתוֹ֙ לְדַבֵּ֣ר אֶל־ שָׁא֔וּל וְנֶ֙פֶשׁ֙ יְה֣וֹנָתָ֔ן נִקְשְׁרָ֖ה בְּנֶ֣פֶשׁ דָּוִ֑ד וַיֶּאֱהָבוֹ יְהוֹנָתָ֖ן כְּנַפְשֽׁוֹ׃
