Now the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a spirit of distress (note: Or a harmful spirit; similarly in verses 15, 16, and 23) from the LORD began to torment him.
וְר֧וּחַ יְהוָ֛ה סָ֖רָה מֵעִ֣ם שָׁא֑וּל וּבִֽעֲתַ֥תּוּ רֽוּחַ־ רָעָ֖ה מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָֽה׃
