καὶ συνέλαβεν, καὶ ἐγενήθη τῷ καιρῷ τῶν ἡμερῶν καὶ ἔτεκεν υἱόν, καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ Σαμουὴλ καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι παρὰ κυρίου θεοῦ σαβαὼθ ᾐτησάμην αὐτόν.
So in the course of time, Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel (note: Samuel sounds like the Hebrew for heard of God.), saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.”
