Il n’y avait dans l’arche que les deux tables de pierre, que Moïse y déposa en Horeb, lorsque l’Éternel fit alliance avec les enfants d’Israël, à leur sortie du pays d’Égypte.
There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb (note: That is, Mount Sinai, or possibly a mountain in the range containing Mount Sinai), where the LORD had made a covenant with the Israelites after they had come out of the land of Egypt.
