Ainsi le roi n’écouta point le peuple; car cela fut dirigé par l’Éternel, en vue de l’accomplissement de la parole que l’Éternel avait dite par Achija de Silo à Jéroboam, fils de Nebath.
So the king did not listen to the people, and indeed this turn of events was from the LORD, to fulfill the word He had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.
