Οἴδαμεν ὅτι πᾶς ὁ γεγεννημένος ἐκ τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ οὐχ ἁμαρτάνει, ἀλλʼ ὁ γεννηθεὶς ἐκ τοῦ ˚Θεοῦ τηρεῖ αὐτόν καὶ ὁ πονηρὸς οὐχ ἅπτεται αὐτοῦ.
We know that anyone born of God does not keep on sinning; the One who was born of God protects him (note: Or the one who was born of God protects himself or God protects the one born of Him), and the evil one cannot touch him.
