Und die jetzt mit Namen aufgezeichnet sind, kamen zur Zeit Hiskias, des Königs Judas, und schlugen jener Hütten und die Meuniter, die daselbst gefunden wurden, und verbannte sie bis auf diesen Tag und wohnten an ihrer Statt; denn es war Weide daselbst für ihre Schafe.
These who were noted by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah. They attacked the Hamites in their dwellings as well as the Meunites who were there, devoting them to destruction (note: Forms of the Hebrew cherem refer to the giving over of things or persons to the LORD, either by destroying them or by giving them as an offering.) even to this day. Then they settled in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks.
