Voici les classes des fils d’Aaron. Fils d’Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Éléazar et Ithamar.
These were the divisions of the descendants of Aaron. The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Nadab et Abihu moururent avant leur père, sans avoir de fils; et Éléazar et Ithamar remplirent les fonctions du sacerdoce.
But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did, and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests.
David divisa les fils d’Aaron en les classant pour le service qu’ils avaient à faire; Tsadok appartenait aux descendants d’Éléazar, et Achimélec aux descendants d’Ithamar.
With the help of Eleazar’s descendant Zadok and Ithamar’s descendant Ahimelech, David divided them according to the offices of their service.
Il se trouva parmi les fils d’Éléazar plus de chefs que parmi les fils d’Ithamar, et on en fit la division; les fils d’Éléazar avaient seize chefs de maisons paternelles, et les fils d’Ithamar huit chefs de maisons paternelles.
Since more leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than those of Ithamar, they were divided accordingly. There were sixteen heads of families from the descendants of Eleazar and eight from the descendants of Ithamar.

Thus they were divided by lot, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both Eleazar’s and Ithamar’s descendants.

The scribe, Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officers: Zadok the priest, Ahimelech son of Abiathar, and the heads of families of the priests and the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar, and then one from Ithamar.

the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
le dix-neuvième, à Pethachja; le vingtième, à Ézéchiel;
the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
le vingt et unième, à Jakin; le vingt-deuxième, à Gamul;
the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
le vingt-troisième, à Delaja; le vingt-quatrième, à Maazia.
the twenty-third to Delaiah, and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
C’est ainsi qu’ils furent classés pour leur service, afin qu’ils entrassent dans la maison de l’Éternel en se conformant à la règle établie par Aaron, leur père, d’après les ordres que lui avait donnés l’Éternel, le Dieu d’Israël.
This was their appointed order for service when they entered the house of the LORD, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their forefather Aaron, as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
Voici les chefs du reste des Lévites. Des fils d’Amram: Schubaël; des fils de Schubaël: Jechdia;
Now these were the rest of the descendants of Levi: From the sons of Amram: Shubael (note: Shubael (twice in this verse) is a variant of Shebuel; see 1 Chronicles 23:16 and 1 Chronicles 26:24.); from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.

As for Rehabiah, from his sons: The first was Isshiah.

From the Izharites: Shelomoth (note: Shelomoth (twice in this verse) is a variant of Shelomith; see 1 Chronicles 23:18.); from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
Fils d’Hébron: Jerija, Amaria le second, Jachaziel le troisième, Jekameam le quatrième.
From the sons of Hebron: Jeriah was the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
Fils d’Uziel: Michée; des fils de Michée: Schamir;
From the sons of Uzziel: Micah; from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
frère de Michée: Jischija; des fils de Jischija: Zacharie.
The brother of Micah: Isshiah; from the sons of Isshiah: Zechariah.
Fils de Merari: Machli et Muschi, et les fils de Jaazija, son fils.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
Fils de Merari, de Jaazija, son fils: Schoham, Zaccur et Ibri.
The descendants of Merari from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
Fils de Muschi: Machli, Éder et Jerimoth. Ce sont là les fils de Lévi, selon leurs maisons paternelles.
And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth (note: Jerimoth is a variant of Jeremoth; see 1 Chronicles 23:23.). These were the sons of the Levites, according to their families.
Eux aussi, comme leurs frères, les fils d’Aaron, ils tirèrent au sort devant le roi David, Tsadok et Achimélec, et les chefs des maisons paternelles des sacrificateurs et des Lévites. Il en fut ainsi pour chaque chef de maison comme pour le moindre de ses frères.
As their brothers the descendants of Aaron did, they also cast lots in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of the families of the priests and Levites—the family heads and their younger brothers alike.
