Voici, il te naîtra un fils, qui sera un homme de repos, et à qui je donnerai du repos en le délivrant de tous ses ennemis d’alentour; car Salomon sera son nom, et je ferai venir sur Israël la paix et la tranquillité pendant sa vie.
But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon (note: Solomon sounds like and is probably derived from the Hebrew word for peace.), and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
