Υἱοὶ Ἰάφεθ· Γάμερ, Μαγώγ, Μαδάιμ, Ἰωυάν, Ἐλεισά, Θοβέλ, Μόσοχ καὶ Θειρας.
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
καὶ υἱοὶ Γάμερ· Ἀσχανὰζ καὶ Ἐρειφὰθ καὶ οργαμά.
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath (note: Many Hebrew manuscripts and Vulgate (see also LXX and Genesis 10:3); most Hebrew manuscripts Diphath), and Togarmah.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰωυάν· Ἐλεισὰ καὶ Φαρσείς, Κίτιοι καὶ Ῥόδιοι.
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.
Καὶ υἱοὶ Χάμ· Χοὺς καὶ Μεστράιμ, Φοὺδ καὶ Χαναὰν.
The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
καὶ υἱοὶ Χούς· Σαβὰτ καὶ Εὑειλὰτ καὶ Σαβατὰ καὶ Ῥεγμὰ καὶ Σεβεκαθά. καὶ υἱοὶ Ῥεγμά· Σαβὰν καὶ Ἰουδαδάν.
The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta (note: Sabta is a variant of Sabtah; see Genesis 10:7.), Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
καὶ Χοὺς ἐγέννησεν τὸν Νεβρώδ0· οὗτος ἤρξατο εἶναι γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς.
Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one (note: Or who established himself as a mighty warrior) on the earth.
Υἱοὶ Σήμ· Αἰλὰμ καὶ Ἀσσοὐρ
The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech (note: Meshech is a variant of Mash; see Genesis 10:23.).
καὶ Ἀρφαξάδ, Σαλά,
So from Shem came Arphaxad, Shelah (note: Literally Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah; some LXX manuscripts Shem, Arphaxad, Cainan, Shelah; see also Genesis 10:24 LXX and Luke 3:35–36.),
αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις πρωτοτόκου Ἰσμαήλ, Ναβαιὼθ καὶ Κηδάρ, Ναβδαιήλ, Μασσά,
These are their genealogies: Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
Ἰεττούρ, Ναφές, Κέδμα· οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ἰσμαήλ.
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.
Καὶ υἱοὶ Κεττούρας παλλακῆς Ἀβραάμ, καὶ ἔτεκεν αὐτῷ τὸν Ζεμβράν, Ἰεξάν, Μαδιάμ, Μαδάμ, Σοβάκ, Σῶε· καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰεξὰν Δαιδὰν καὶ Σαβαί·
The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
καὶ υἱοὶ Μαδιὰμ Γαφέρ καὶ Ὄφερ καὶ Ἑνὼχ καὶ Ἀβειδὰ καὶ Ἐλλαδά· πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Χεττούρας.
The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All of these were Keturah’s sons.
Καὶ ἐγέννησεν Ἀβραὰμ τὸν Ἰσαάκ. καὶ υἱοὶ Ἰσαάκ· Ἰακὼβ καὶ Ἠσού.
Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
Υἱοὶ Ἠσαύ· Ἐλειφὰς καὶ Ῥαγουὴλ καὶ Ἰεοὺλ καὶ Ἰεγλόμ, Κόρε.
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
υἱοὶ Ἐλειφάς· Θαιμὰν καὶ Ὠμάρ, Σωφὰρ καὶ Γοωθὰμ καὶ Κενὲζ καὶ τῆς Θαμνὰ Ἀμαλήκ.
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho (note: Many Hebrew manuscripts, some LXX manuscripts, and Syriac (see also Genesis 36:11); most Hebrew manuscripts Zephi), Gatam, and Kenaz; and by Timna, Amalek.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ῥαγουήλ· Νάχες, Ζάρες. Σομὲ καὶ Ὀμοζέ.
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
υἱοὶ Σηείρ· Λωτάν, Σωβάλ, Σεβεγών, Ἀνά, Δησών, Ὠνάν.
The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
καὶ υἱρὶ Λωτάν· Χορρεὶ καὶ Αἱμὰν καὶ Αἰλὰθ καὶ Ναμνά.
The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam (note: Homam is a variant of Hemam; see Genesis 36:22.). Timna was Lotan’s sister.
υἱοὶ Σωβάλ· Σωλάμ, Μαχανάμ, Γαιβήλ, Σὼβ καὶ Ὠνάν. υἱοὶ δὲ Σεβεγὼν· Ἀὶθ καὶ Σωνάν.
The sons of Shobal: Alvan (note: LXX (see also Genesis 36:23); Hebrew Alian), Manahath, Ebal, Shepho (note: LXX (see also Genesis 36:23); Hebrew Shephi), and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.
υἱοὶ Σωνάν· Δαισών. υἱοὶ δὲ Δαισών· Ἐμερὼν καὶ Ἀσεβὼν καὶ Γεθρὰμ καὶ Χαρράν.
The son (note: Hebrew sons) of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan (note: LXX (see also Genesis 36:26); Hebrew Hamran), Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
καὶ υἱοὶ Ὠσαρ· Βαλαὰμ καὶ Ζουκὰμ καὶ Ὠνάν. υἱοὶ Δαισών· Ὢς καὶ Ἀρράν.
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan (note: LXX (see also Genesis 36:27); Hebrew Jaakan). The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
Καὶ οὗτοι οἱ βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν· Βαλακ υἱὸς Βεὼρ, καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Δενναβά.
These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor. His city was named Dinhabah.
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Βαλὰκ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Ἰωαβὰβ υἱὸς Ζάρα ἐκ Βοσόρρας.
When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἰωβάβ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Ἀσὸμ ἐκ τῆς γῆς Θαιμονῶν.
When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
καὶ ἀπἐθανεν Ἀσόμ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Ἀδὰδ υἱὸς Βαράδ, ὁ πατάξας Μαδιὰμ ἐν τῷ πεδίῳ Μωάβ, καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Γεθθάιμ.
When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἀδάδ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ
When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Βαλαεννὼρ υἱὸς Ἀχοβώρ, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Ἀδὰδ υἱὸς Βαράδ, καὶ ὄνομα τῇ πόλει αὐτοῦ Φόγωρ.
When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau (note: Many MT manuscripts, some LXX manuscripts, Vulgate, and Syriac (see also Genesis 36:39); most MT manuscripts Pai), and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
καὶ ἀπέθανεν Ἀδδά καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Σαμαὰ ἐκ Μασέκκας· καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαμαά, καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν ἀντʼ αὐτοῦ Σαοὺλ ἐκ Ῥοβὼθ τῆς παρὰ ποταμόν. καὶ ἀπέθανεν Σαούλ. καὶ ἦσαν ἡγεμόνες Ἐδώμ· ἠγεμὼν Θαιμάν, ἡγεμὼν Γωλά, ἡγεμὼν Ἰεθέτ,
Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
ἡγεμὼν Μεδιήλ, ἡγεμὼν Ζαφωείν·οὗτοι ἡγεμόνες Ἐδώμ.
Magdiel, and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.
