And David smote Hadarezer (note: Or, Hadadezer in Sam) king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
As far as Hamath, David also defeated King Hadadezer of Zobah, who had marched out to establish his dominion (note: Hebrew his hand) along the Euphrates River.
