he sent his son Hadoram (note: Hadoram is a variant of Joram; see 2 Samuel 8:10.) to greet King David and bless him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Hadoram brought all kinds of articles of gold and silver and bronze,
וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח אֶת־ הֲדֽוֹרָם־ בְּנ֣וֹ אֶל־ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־ דָּ֠וִיד לִשְׁאוֹל ל֨וֹ לְשָׁל֜וֹם וּֽלְבָרֲכ֗וֹ עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִלְחַ֤ם בַּהֲדַדְעֶ֙זֶר֙ וַיַּכֵּ֔הוּ כִּי־ אִ֛ישׁ מִלְחֲמ֥וֹת תֹּ֖עוּ הָיָ֣ה הֲדַדְעָ֑זֶר וְכֹ֗ל כְּלֵ֛י זָהָ֥ב וָכֶ֖סֶף וּנְחֹֽשֶׁת׃
