Cumque illi ascendissent in Baalpharasim, percussit eos ibi David, et dixit : Divisit Deus inimicos meos per manum meam, sicut dividuntur aquæ : et idcirco vocatum est nomen illius loci Baalpharasim.
So David and his men went up to Baal-perazim (note: Baal-perazim means The Lord Bursts Out.), where he defeated the Philistines and said, “Like a bursting flood, God has burst out against my enemies by my hand.” So they called that place Baal-perazim.
