καὶ εἶπεν Δαυεὶδ Πᾶς τύπτων Ἰεβουσαῖον ἐν πρώτοις, καὶ ἔσται εἰς ἄρχοντα καὶ εἰς στρατηγόν· καὶ ἀνέβη ἐπʼ αὐτῇ ἐν πρώτοις Ἰωὰβ υἱὸς Σαρουιά, καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς ἄρχοντα.
Now David had said, “Whoever is the first to strike down a Jebusite will become chief commander.” And Joab son of Zeruiah went up first, and he became the chief.
