Tous les hommes d'Israël qui étaient dans la plaine, voyant que les enfants d'Israël s'étaient enfuis, et que Saül et ses fils étaient morts, abandonnèrent leurs villes et prirent aussi la fuite ; et les Philistins vinrent et s'y établirent.
When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
