And when Baal–hanan was dead, Hadad (note: Or, Hadar, Gen. 36.39) reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai (note: Or, Pau, Gen. 36.39); and his wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau (note: Many MT manuscripts, some LXX manuscripts, Vulgate, and Syriac (see also Genesis 36:39); most MT manuscripts Pai), and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
