Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος λέγων
Again the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying:
Τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἐζήλωκα τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ τὴν Σειὼν ζῆλον μέγαν, καὶ θυμῷ μεγάλῳ ἐζήλωκα αὐτήν.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I am jealous for Zion with great zeal; I am jealous for her with great fervor.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Ἐπιστρέψω ἐπὶ Σειών, καὶ κατασκηνώσω ἐν μέσῳ Ἰερουσαλήμ, καὶ κληθήσεται ἡ Ἰερουσαλὴμ πόλις ἡ ἀληθινή, καὶ τὸ ὄρος Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος ὄρος ἅγιον.
This is what the LORD says: “I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of Hosts will be called the Holy Mountain.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἔτι καθήσονται πρεσβύτεροι καὶ πρεσβύτεραι ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἕκαστος τὴν ῥάβδον αὐτοῦ ἔχων ἐν τῇ χερὶ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ πλήθους ἡμερῶν·
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Old men and old women will again sit along the streets of Jerusalem, each with a staff in hand because of great age.
καὶ αἱ πλατεῖαι τῆς πόλεως πλησθήσονται παιδαρίων καὶ κορασίων παιζόντων ἐν ταῖς πλατείαις αὐτῆς.
And the streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls playing there.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Εἰ ἀδυνατήσει ἐνώπιον τῶν καταλοίπων τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, μὴ καὶ ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ ἀδυνατήσει; λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “If this is impossible in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be impossible in My eyes?” declares the LORD of Hosts.
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ σώζω τὸν λαόν μου ἀπὸ γῆς ἀνατολῶν καὶ ἀπὸ γῆς δυσμῶν,
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.
καὶ εἰσάξω αὐτοὺς καὶ κατασκηνώσω ἐν μέσῳ Ἰερουσαλήμ, καὶ ἔσονταί μοι εἰς λαὸν κἀγὼ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς εἰς θεὸν ἐν ἀληθείᾳ καὶ ἐν δικαιοσύνῃ.
I will bring them back to dwell in Jerusalem, where they will be My people, and I will be their faithful and righteous God.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Κατισχυέτωσαν αἱ χεῖρες ὑμῶν τῶν ἀκουόντων ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐκ στόματος τῶν προφητῶν, ἀφʼ ἧς ἡμέρας τεθεμελίωται ὁ οἶκος Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος, καὶ ὁ ναὸς ἀφʼ οὗ ᾠκοδόμηται.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words spoken by the prophets who were present when the foundations were laid to rebuild the temple, the house of the LORD of Hosts.
διότι πρὸ τῶν ἡμερῶν ἐκείνων ὁ μισθὸς τῶν ἀνθρώπων οὐκ ἔσται εἰς ὄνησιν, καὶ ὁ μισθὸς τῶν κτηνῶν οὐχ ὑπάρξει, καὶ τῷ ἐκπορευομένῳ καὶ τῷ εἰσπορευομένῳ οὐκ ἔσται εἰρήνη ἀπὸ τῆς θλίψεως· καὶ ἐξρποστελῶ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους ἕκαστον ἐπὶ τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ.
For before those days neither man nor beast received wages, nor was there safety from the enemy for anyone who came or went, for I had turned every man against his neighbor.
καὶ νῦν οὐ κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τὰς ἔμπροσθεν ἐγὼ ποιῶ τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ,
But now I will not treat the remnant of this people as I did in the past,” declares the LORD of Hosts.
ἀλλ᾿ ἢ δείξω εἰρήνην· ἡ ἄμπελος δώσει τὸν καρπὸν αὐτῆς, καὶ ἡ γῆ δώσει τὰ γενήματα αὐτῆς, καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς δώσει τὴν δρόσον αὐτοῦ, καὶ κατακληρονομήσαω τοῖς καταλοίποις τοῦ λαοῦ μου τούτου ταῦτα πάντα.
“For the seed will be prosperous, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will yield its produce, and the skies will give their dew. To the remnant of this people I will give all these things as an inheritance.
καὶ ἔσται ὃν τρόπον ἦτε ἐν κατάρᾳ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οἶκος Ἰούδα καὶ οἶκος Ἰσραήλ, οὕτως διασώσω ὑμᾶς καὶ ἔσεσθε ἐν εὐλογίᾳ· θαρσεῖτε καὶ κατισχύετε ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ὑμῶν.
As you have been a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid; let your hands be strong.”
διότι τάδε λέγει Κύριος ΙΙαντοκράτωρ Ὃν τρόπον διενοήθην τοῦ κακῶσαι ὑμᾶς ἐν τῷ παροργίσαι με τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ, καὶ οὐ μετενόησα·
For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Just as I resolved to bring disaster upon you when your fathers provoked Me to anger, and I did not relent,” says the LORD of Hosts,
οὕτως παρατέταγμαι καὶ διανενόημαι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ταύταις τοῦ καλῶς ποιῆσαι τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ τὸν οἶκον Ἰούδα· θαρσεῖτε.
“so now I have resolved to do good again to Jerusalem and Judah. Do not be afraid.
οὗτοι οἱ λόγοι οὓς ποιήσετε· λαλεῖτε ἀλήθειαν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ, ἀλήθειαν καὶ κρίμα εἰρηνικὸν κρίνατε ἐυ ταῖς πύλαις ὑμῶν,
These are the things you must do: Speak truth to one another, render true and sound judgments in your gates,
καὶ ἕκαστος τὴν κακίαν τοῦ πλησίον αὐτοῦ μὴ λογίζεσθε ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις ὑμῶν, καὶ ὅρκον ψευδῆ μὴ ἀγαπᾶτε· διότι ταῦτα πάντα ἐμίσησα, λέγει Κύριος ΙΙαντοκράτωρ.
do not plot evil in your hearts against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely, for I hate all these things,” declares the LORD.
Καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος Κυρίου αντοκράτορος πρὸς μέ
Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
Λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Νηστεία ἡ τετρὰς καὶ νηστεία ἡ πέμπτη καὶ νηστεία ἡ ἑβδόμη καὶ νηστεία ἡ δεκάτη ἔσονται τῷ οἴκῳ Ἰούδα εἰς χαρὰν καὶ εὐφροσύνην καὶ εἰς ἑορτὰς ἀγαθάς, καὶ εὐφρανθήσεσθε, καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειαν καὶ τὴν εἰρήνην ἀγαπήσατε.
“This is what the LORD of Hosts says: The fasts of the fourth, the fifth, the seventh, and the tenth months will become times of joy and gladness, cheerful feasts for the house of Judah. Therefore you are to love both truth and peace.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἔτι ἥξουσιν λαοὶ πολλοὶ καὶ κατοικοῦντες πόλεις πολλάς,
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Peoples will yet come—the residents of many cities—
καὶ συνελεύσονται κατοικοῦντες πέντε πόλεις εἰς μίαν πόλιν, λέγοντες ΙΙορευθῶμεν δεηθῆναι τοῦ προσώπου Κυρίου καὶ ἐκζητῆσαι τὸ πρόσωπον Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος· πορεύσομαι κἀγώ·
and the residents of one city will go to another, saying: ‘Let us go at once to plead before the LORD and to seek the LORD of Hosts. I myself am going.’
καὶ ἥξουσιν λαοὶ πολλοὶ καὶ ἔθνη πολλὰ ἐκζητῆσαι τὸ πρόσωπον Κυρίου Παντοκράτορος ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ ἐξιλάσασθαι τὸ πρόσαωπον Κυρίου.
And many peoples and strong nations will come to seek the LORD of Hosts in Jerusalem and to plead before the LORD.”
τάδε λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ Ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις, ἐὰν ἐπιλάβωνται δέκα ἄνδρες ἐκ πασῶν τῶν γλωσσῶν τῶν ἐθνῶν, καὶ ἐπιλάβωνται τοῦ κρασπέδου ἀνδρὸς Ἰουδαίου, λέγοντες Πορευσόμεθα μετὰ σοῦ, διότι ἀκηκόαμεν ὅτι θεὸς μεθʼ ὑμῶν ἐστιν.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue will tightly grasp the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
