Und ich hob meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, da waren vier Hörner.
Then I lifted up my eyes and saw a man with a measuring line in his hand.
Und ich sprach zu dem Engel, der mit mir redete: Wer sind diese? Er sprach zu mir: Es sind Hörner, die Juda samt Israel und Jerusalem zerstreut haben.
“Where are you going?” I asked. “To measure Jerusalem,” he replied, “and to determine its width and length.”
Und der HErr zeigte mir vier Schmiede.
Then the angel who was speaking with me went forth, and another angel came forward to meet him
Da sprach ich: Was sollen die machen? Er sprach: Die Hörner, die Juda so zerstreut haben, dass niemand sein Haupt hat mögen aufheben, sie abzuschrecken sind diese gekommen, dass sie die Hörner der Heiden abstoßen, welche das Horn haben über das Land Juda gehoben, es zu zerstreuen.
and said to him, “Run and tell that young man: ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the multitude of men and livestock within it.
Und ich hob meine Augen auf und sah, und siehe, ein Mann hatte eine Messschnur in der Hand.
For I will be a wall of fire around it, declares the LORD, and I will be the glory within it.’”
Und ich sprach: Wo gehst du hin? Er aber sprach zu mir: dass ich Jerusalem messe und sehe, wie lang und weit es sein soll.
“Get up! Get up! Flee from the land of the north,” declares the LORD, “for I have scattered you like the four winds of heaven,” declares the LORD.
Und siehe, der Engel, der mit mir redete, ging heraus; und ein anderer Engel ging heraus ihm entgegen
“Get up, O Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the Daughter of Babylon!”
und sprach zu ihm: Lauf hin und sage diesem Jüngling und sprich: Jerusalem wird bewohnt werden ohne Mauern vor großer Menge der Menschen und Viehs, die darin sein werden.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “After His Glory has sent Me (note: Or After the Glorious One has sent Me or After He has honored Me and sent Me) against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple (note: Or the pupil) of His eye—
Und ich will, spricht der HErr, eine feurige Mauer umher sein und will mich herrlich darin erzeigen.
I will surely wave My hand over them, so that they will become plunder for their own servants. Then you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me.”
Hui, hui! Fliehet aus dem Mitternachtlande! spricht der HErr; denn ich habe euch in die vier Winde unter dem Himmel zerstreut, spricht der HErr.
“Shout for joy and be glad, O Daughter of Zion, for I am coming to dwell among you,” declares the LORD.
Hui, Zion, die du wohnst bei der Tochter Babel, entrinne!
“On that day many nations will join themselves to the LORD, and they will become My people. I will dwell among you, and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent Me to you.
Denn so spricht der HErr Zebaoth: Er hat mich gesandt nach Ehre zu den Heiden, die euch beraubt haben; denn wer euch antastet, der tastet seinen Augapfel an.
And the LORD will take possession of Judah as His portion in the Holy Land, and He will once again choose Jerusalem.
Denn siehe, ich will meine Hand über sie schwingen, dass sie sollen ein Raub werden denen, die ihnen gedient haben; und ihr sollt erfahren, dass mich der HErr Zebaoth gesandt hat.
Be silent before the LORD, all people, for He has roused Himself from His holy dwelling.”
Freue dich und sei fröhlich, du Tochter Zion! denn siehe, ich komme und will bei dir wohnen, spricht der HErr.

Und sollen zu der Zeit viel Heiden zum HErrn getan werden und sollen mein Volk sein; und ich will bei dir wohnen, und sollst erfahren, dass mich der HErr Zebaoth zu dir gesandt hat.
—
Und der HErr wird Juda erben als sein Teil in dem heiligen Lande und wird Jerusalem wieder erwählen.
—
Alles Fleisch sei still vor dem HErrn; denn er hat sich aufgemacht aus seiner heiligen Stätte.
