Zechariah 12

Λῆμμα λόγου Κυρίου ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραήλ. Λέγει Κύριος, ἐκτείνων οὐρανόν, καὶ θεμελιῶν γῆν, καὶ πλάσσων πνεῦμα ἀνθρώπου ἐν αὐτῷ
This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:
Ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ τίθημι τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ὡς πρόθυρα σαλευόμενα πᾶσι τοῖς λαοῖς κύκλῳ, καὶ ἐν τῇ Ἰουδαίᾳ ἔσται περιοχὴ ἐπὶ Ἰερουσαλήμ.
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples. Judah will be besieged, as well as Jerusalem.
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ θήσομαι τὴν Ἰερουσαλὴμ λίθον καταπατούμενον πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν· πᾶς ὁ καταπατῶν αὐτὴν ἐμπαίζων ἐμπαίξεται, καὶ ἐπισυναχθήσεται ἐπʼ αὐτὴν πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τῆς γῆς.
On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ, λέγει Κύριος Παντοκράτωρ, πατάξω πάντα ἵππον ἐν ἐκστάσει καὶ τὸν ἀναβάτην αὐτοῦ ἐν παραφρονήσει, ἐπὶ δὲ τὸν οἶκον Ἰούδα διανοίξω τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς μου, καὶ πάντας τοὺς ἵππους τῶν λαῶν πατάξω ἐν ἀποτυφλώσει.
On that day, declares the LORD, I will strike every horse with panic, and every rider with madness. I will keep a watchful eye on the house of Judah, but I will strike with blindness all the horses of the nations.
καὶ ἐροῦσιυ οἱ χιλίαρχοι Ἰούδα ἐν ταῖς καρδίαις αὐτῶν Εὑρήσομεν ἑαυτοῖς τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐν Κυρίῳ Παντοκράτορι θεῷ αὐτῶν.
Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts: ‘The people of Jerusalem are my strength, for the LORD of Hosts is their God.’
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ θήσομαι τοὺς χιλιάρχους Ἰούδα ὡς δαλὸν πυρὸς ἐν ξύλοις, καὶ ὡς λαμπάδα πυρὸς ἐν καλάμῃ, καὶ καταφάγονται ἐκ δεξιῶν καὶ ἐξ εὐωνύμων πάντας τοὺς λαοὺς κυκλόθεν, καὶ κατοικήσει Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἔτι καθʼ ἑαυτὴν ἐν Ἰερουσαλήμ.
On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among the sheaves; they will consume all the peoples around them on the right and on the left, while the people of Jerusalem remain secure there.
καὶ σώσει Κύριος τὰ σκηνώματα Ἰούδα καθὼς ἀπʼ ἀρχῆς, ὅπως μὴ μεγαλύνηται καύχημα οἴκου Δαυεὶδ καὶ ἐπάρσεις τῶν κατοικούντων Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰούδαν.
The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and of the people of Jerusalem may not be greater than that of Judah.
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ὑπερασπιεῖ Κύριος ὑπέρ τῶν κατοικούντων Ἰερουσαλήμ· καὶ ἔσται ὁ ἀσθενῶν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ὡς Δαυείδ, ὁ δὲ οἶκος Δαυεὶδ ὡς οἶκος θεοῦ, ὡς ἄγγελος Κυρίου ἐνώπιον αὐτῶν.
On that day the LORD will defend the people of Jerusalem, so that the weakest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel (note: Or Angel) of the LORD going before them.
καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ζητήσω ἐξᾶραι πάντα τὰ ἔθνη τὰ ἐρχόμενα ἐπὶ Ἰερουσαλήμ,
So on that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
καὶ ἐκχεῶ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον Δαυεὶδ καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ἰερουσαλὴμ πνεῖμα χάριτος καὶ οἰκτιρμοῦ· καὶ ἐπιβλέψονται πρὸς μέ ἀνθʼ ὧν καταορχήσαντο, καὶ κόψονται ἐπʼ αὐτὸν κοπετὸν ὡς ἐπʼ ἀγαπητῷ, καὶ ὀδυνηθήσονται ὀδύνην ὡς ἐπὶ τῷ πρωτοτόκῳ.
Then I will pour out on the house of David and on the people of Jerusalem a spirit (note: Or the Spirit) of grace and prayer, and they will look on Me (note: Or to Me), the One they have pierced (note: Cited in John 19:37). They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ μεγαλυνθήσεται ὁ κοπετὸς ἐν Ἰερουσαλὴμ ὡς κοπετὸς ὸοῶνος ἐν πεδίῳ ἐκκοπτομένου, ¹¹καὶ κόψεται ἡ γῆ κατὰ φυλὰς φυλάς· φυλὴ οἵκου Δαυεὶδ καθʼ ἑαυτήν, καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καθʼ ἑαυτάς· φυλὴ οἵκου Νάθαν καθʼ θαυτήν, καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καθʼ ἑαυτάς·
On that day the wailing in Jerusalem will be as great as the wailing of Hadad-rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
φυλὴ οὑου Λευεὶ καθʼ ἑαυτήν, καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καθʼ ἑαυτάς· φυλὴ τοῦ Συμεὼν καθʼ ἑαυτήν, καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καθʼ θαυτάς.
the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives,
πᾶσαι αἱ ὑπολελιμμέναι φυλαί, φυλὴ καθʼ ἑαυτήν, καὶ αἱ γυναῖκες αὐτῶν καθʼ ἑαυτάς.
and all the remaining clans and their wives.
