A wise judge will instruct his people.
—
As is the judge of his people, so are his officials.
—
An undisciplined king will destroy his people.
—
The government of the earth is in the Lord’s hand.
—
A man’s prosperity is in the Lord’s hand.
—
Don’t be angry with your neighbour for every wrong.
—
Pride is hateful before the Lord and men.
—
Sovereignty is transferred from nation to nation
—
Why are dirt and ashes proud?
—
A long disease mocks the physician.
—
For when a man is dead,
—
It is the beginning of pride when a man departs from the Lord.
—
For the beginning of pride is sin.
—
The Lord cast down the thrones of rulers
—
The Lord plucked up the roots of nations
—
The Lord overthrew the lands of nations
—
He took some of them away and destroyed them,
—
Pride has not been created for men,
—
Whose offspring has honour?
—
In the midst of kindred he who rules them has honour.
—
The rich man, the honourable, and the poor
—
It is not right to dishonour a poor man who has understanding.
—
The prince, the judge, and the mighty man will be honoured.
—
Free men will minister to a wise servant.
—
Don’t flaunt your wisdom in doing your work.
—
Better is he who labours and abounds in all things,
—
My son, glorify your soul in humility,
—
Who will justify him who sins against his own soul?
—
A poor man is honoured for his knowledge.
—
But he who is honoured in poverty, how much more in riches?
