Und es ward mir ein Rohr gegeben, einem Stecken gleich, und er sprach: Stehe auf und miss den Tempel Gottes und den Altar und die darin anbeten.
Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there.
Aber den Vorhof außerhalb des Tempels wirf hinaus und miss ihn nicht; denn er ist den Heiden gegeben, und die heilige Stadt werden sie zertreten zweiundvierzig Monate.
But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.
Und ich will meinen zwei Zeugen geben, dass sie weissagen tausendzweihundertundsechzig Tage, angetan mit Säcken.
And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Diese sind die zwei Ölbäumesiehe Sacharja 4, 11-14 und die Fackeln, stehend vor dem Herrn der Erde.
These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth (note: See Zechariah 4:14.).
Und so jemand sie will schädigen, so geht Feuer aus ihrem Munde und verzehrt ihre Feinde; und so jemand sie will schädigen, der muss also getötet werden.
If anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. In this way, anyone who wants to harm them must be killed.
Diese haben Macht, den Himmel zu verschließen, dass es nicht regne in den Tagen ihrer Weissagung, und haben Macht über das Wasser, es zu wandeln in Blut, und zu schlagen die Erde mit allerlei Plage, so oft sie wollen.
These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.
Und wenn sie ihr Zeugnis geendet haben, so wird das Tier, das aus dem Abgrund aufsteigt, mit ihnen einen Streit halten und wird sie überwinden und wird sie töten.
When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them.
Und ihre Leichname werden liegen auf der Gasse der großen Stadt, die da heißt geistlich „Sodom und Ägypten”, da auch ihr Herr gekreuzigt ist.
Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city—figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where their Lord was also crucified.
Und es werden etliche von den Völkern und Geschlechter und Sprachen ihre Leichname sehen drei Tage und einen halben und werden ihre Leichname nicht lassen in Gräber legen.
For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb.
Und die auf Erden wohnen, werden sich freuen über sie und wohlleben und Geschenke untereinander senden; denn diese zwei Propheten quälten die auf Erden wohnten.
And those who dwell on the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and send one another gifts, because these two prophets had tormented them.
Und nach drei Tagen und einem halben fuhr in sie der Geist des Lebens von Gott, und sie traten auf ihre Füße; und eine große Furcht fiel über die, so sie sahen.
But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
Und sie hörten eine große Stimme von Himmel zu ihnen sagen: Steiget herauf! Und sie stiegen auf in den Himmel in einer Wolke, und es sahen sie ihre Feinde.
And the witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched them.
Und zu derselben Stunde ward ein großes Erdbeben, und der zehnte Teil der Stadt fiel; und wurden getötet in dem Erdbeben siebentausend Namen der Menschen, und die andern erschraken und gaben Ehre dem Gott des Himmels.
And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand were killed in the quake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
Das andere Wehe ist dahin; siehe, das dritte Wehe kommt schnell.
The second woe has passed. Behold, the third woe is coming shortly.
Und der siebente Engel posaunte: und es wurden große Stimmen im Himmel, die sprachen: Es sind die Reiche der Welt unsres Herrn und seines Christus geworden, und er wird regieren von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit.
Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever.”
Und die vierundzwanzig Ältesten, die vor Gott auf ihren Stühlen saßen, fielen auf ihr Angesicht und beteten Gott an
And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
und sprachen: Wir danken dir, Herr, allmächtiger Gott, der du bist und warest, dass du hast angenommen deine große Kraft und herrschest;
saying: “We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was (note: TR includes and who is to come.), because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.
und die Heiden sind zornig geworden, und es ist gekommen dein Zorn und die Zeit der Toten, zu richten und zu geben den Lohn deinen Knechten, den Propheten, und den Heiligen und denen, die deinen Namen fürchten, den Kleinen und Großen, und zu verderben, die die Erde verderbt haben.
The nations were enraged (note: See Psalm 2:1.), and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead (note: See Daniel 12:2.) and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great—and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Und der Tempel Gottes ward aufgetan im Himmel, und die Lade seines Bundes ward im Tempel gesehen; und es geschahen Blitze und Donner und Erdbeben und ein großer Hagel.
Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple. And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.
