Psalms 98

Brenton's English Septuagint · Berean Standard Bible

A Psalm of David. The Lord reigns;—let the people rage; [it is he] that sits upon the cherubs, let the earth be moved.
99:1 The LORD reigns; let the nations tremble! He is enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth quake!
The Lord is great in Sion, and is high over all the people.
99:2 Great is the LORD in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples.
Let them give thanks to thy great name; for it is terrible and holy.
99:3 Let them praise Your great and awesome name—He is holy (note: Or it is holy!)!
And the king's honour loves judgment; thou hast prepared equity, thou hast wrought judgment and justice in Jacob.
99:4 The mighty King loves justice (note: Or The might of the King loves justice.). You have established equity; You have exercised justice and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship [at] his footstool; for he is holy.
99:5 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; He is holy!
Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the Lord, and he heard them.
99:6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests; Samuel was among those who called on His name. They called to the LORD and He answered.
He spoke to them in a pillar of cloud; they kept his testimonies, and the ordinances which he gave them.
99:7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.
O Lord our God, thou heardest them; O God, thou becamest propitious to them, though thou didst take vengeance on all their devices.
99:8 O LORD our God, You answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, yet an avenger of their misdeeds.
Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the Lord our God is holy.
99:9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.
