Οἱ θεμέλιοι αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς ὄρεσιν τοῖς ἁγίοις·
87:1
A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A song. He has founded His city on the holy mountains (note: Literally His foundation is on the holy mountains).
ἀγαπᾄ Κύριος τὰς πύλας Σειὼν ὑπὲρ πάντα τὰ σκηνώματα Ἰακώβ.
87:2
The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
δεδοξασμένα ἐλαλήθη περὶ σοῦ, ἡ πόλις τοῦ θεοῦ. διάψαλμα.
87:3
Glorious things are ascribed to you, O city of God. Selah
μνησθήσομαι Ῥαὰβ καὶ Βαβυλῶνος τοῖς γινώσκουσίν με· καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀλλόφυλοι καὶ Τύρος καὶ λαὸς Αἰθιόπων, οὗτοι ἐγενήθησαν ἐκεῖ
87:4
“I will mention Rahab (note: Rahab is a poetic name for Egypt.) and Babylon among those who know Me—along with Philistia, Tyre, and Cush (note: That is, the upper Nile region)—when I say, ‘This one was born in Zion.’”
Μήτηρ Σειών. ἐρεῖ ἄνθρωπος. καί Ἀνθρωπος ἐγενήθη ἐν αὐτῇ, καί Αὐτὸς ἐθεμελίωσεν αὐτὴν ὁ ὕψιστος.
87:5
And it will be said of Zion: “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High Himself will establish her.”
Κύριος διηγήσεται ἐν γραφῇ λαῶν καὶ ἀρχόντων τούτων τῶν γεγενημέναων ἐν αὐτῇ. διάψαλμα.
87:6
The LORD will record in the register of the peoples: “This one was born in Zion.” Selah
ὡς εὐφραινομένων πάντων ἡ κατοικία ἐν σοί.
87:7
Singers and pipers will proclaim, “All my springs of joy are in You.”
Τοῖς υἱοῖς Κόρε ψαλμὸς ᾠδῆς.
Show me a sign of Your goodness, that my enemies may see and be ashamed; for You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
