Que tes demeures sont aimables, Yahweh des armées !
My soul longs, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Mon âme s'épuise en soupirant après les parvis de Yahweh ; mon cœur et ma chair tressaillent vers le Dieu vivant.
Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
Le passereau même trouve une demeure, et l'hirondelle un nid où elle repose ses petits : Tes autels, Yahweh des armées, mon roi et mon Dieu !
How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You. Selah

Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
Heureux les hommes qui ont en toi leur force ; ils ne pensent qu'aux saintes montées.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca (note: Or Valley of Poplars), they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools (note: Or with blessings).
Lorsqu'ils traversent la vallée des Larmes ils la changent en un lieu plein de sources, et la pluie d'automne la couvre aussi de bénédictions.
They go from strength to strength, until each appears before God in Zion.
Pendant la marche s'accroît la vigueur, et ils paraissent devant Dieu à Sion :
O LORD God of Hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

Take notice of our shield, O God, and look with favor on the face of Your anointed.
Toi qui es notre bouclier, vois, ô Dieu, et regarde la face de ton Oint !
For better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
Car un jour dans tes parvis vaut mieux que mille ; je préfère me tenir sur le seuil de la maison de mon Dieu, plutôt que d'habiter sous les tentes des méchants.
For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.
Car Yahweh Dieu est un soleil et un bouclier ; Yahweh donne la grâce et la gloire, il ne refuse aucun bien à ceux qui marchent dans l'innocence.
O LORD of Hosts, how blessed is the man who trusts in You!
