82:1
Psaume d’Asaph.
A Psalm of Asaph. God presides in the divine assembly; He renders judgment among the gods:
82:2
Jusques à quand jugerez-vous avec iniquité,
“How long will you judge unjustly (note: Or How long will you defend the unjust) and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
82:3
Rendez justice au faible et à l’orphelin,
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; uphold the rights of the afflicted and oppressed.
82:4
Sauvez le misérable et l’indigent,
Rescue the weak and needy; save them from the hand of the wicked.
82:5
Ils n’ont ni savoir ni intelligence,
They do not know or understand; they wander in the darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
82:6
J’avais dit: Vous êtes des dieux,
I have said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High (note: Cited in John 10:34).’
82:7
Cependant vous mourrez comme des hommes,
But like mortals you will die, and like rulers you will fall.”
82:8
Lève-toi, ô Dieu, juge la terre!
Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your inheritance.
