Psalms 74 — parallel

74:1

εἰς τὸ τέλος μὴ διαφθείρῃς ψαλμὸς τῷ Ασαφ ᾠδῆς

of Asaph. Why have You rejected us forever, O God? Why does Your anger smolder against the sheep of Your pasture?

74:2

ἐξομολογησόμεθά σοι ὁ θεός ἐξομολογησόμεθα καὶ ἐπικαλεσόμεθα τὸ ὄνομά σου

^75:1 For the choirmaster: To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A song. We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks, for Your Name is near. The people declare Your wondrous works.

74:3

διηγήσομαι πάντα τὰ θαυμάσιά σου ὅταν λάβω καιρόν ἐγὼ εὐθύτητας κρινῶ

^75:2 “When I choose a time, I will judge fairly.

74:4

ἐτάκη ἡ γῆ καὶ πάντες οἱ κατοικοῦντες ἐν αὐτῇ ἐγὼ ἐστερέωσα τοὺς στύλους αὐτῆς διάψαλμα

^75:3 When the earth and all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah

74:5

εἶπα τοῖς παρανομοῦσιν μὴ παρανομεῖτε καὶ τοῖς ἁμαρτάνουσιν μὴ ὑψοῦτε κέρας

^75:4 I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn.

74:6

μὴ ἐπαίρετε εἰς ὕψος τὸ κέρας ὑμῶν μὴ λαλεῖτε κατὰ τοῦ θεοῦ ἀδικίαν

^75:5 Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”

74:7

ὅτι οὔτε ἀπὸ ἐξόδων οὔτε ἀπὸ δυσμῶν οὔτε ἀπὸ ἐρήμων ὀρέων

^75:6 For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert,

74:8

ὅτι ὁ θεὸς κριτής ἐστιν τοῦτον ταπεινοῖ καὶ τοῦτον ὑψοῖ

^75:7 but it is God who judges; He brings down one and exalts another.

74:9

ὅτι ποτήριον ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου οἴνου ἀκράτου πλῆρες κεράσματος καὶ ἔκλινεν ἐκ τούτου εἰς τοῦτο πλὴν ὁ τρυγίας αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐξεκενώθη πίονται πάντες οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ τῆς γῆς

^75:8 For a cup is in the hand of the LORD, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours from His cup, and all the wicked of the earth drink it down to the dregs.

74:10

ἐγὼ δὲ ἀγαλλιάσομαι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ψαλῶ τῷ θεῷ Ιακωβ

^75:9 But I forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob.

74:11

καὶ πάντα τὰ κέρατα τῶν ἁμαρτωλῶν συγκλάσω καὶ ὑψωθήσεται τὰ κέρατα τοῦ δικαίου

^75:10 “All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous will be exalted.”
