Εἰς τὸ τέλος· τῷ Δαυείδ, ψαλμὸς ᾠδῆς.
For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song. May God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, Selah
Ἀναστήτω ὁ θεός, καὶ διασκορπισθήτωσαν οἱ ἐχθροὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ φυγέτωσαν οἱ μισοῦντες αὐτὸν ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ.
68:1
For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A song. God arises. His enemies are scattered, and those who hate Him flee His presence.
ὡς ἐκλείπει καπνὸς ἐκλιπέτωσαν· ὡς τήκεται κηρὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου πυρός, οὕτως ἀπόλοιντο οἱ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ θεοῦ.
68:2
As smoke is blown away, You will drive them out; as wax melts before the fire, the wicked will perish in the presence of God.
καὶ οἱ δίκαιοι εὐφρανθήτωσαν, διάψαλμα. ἀγαλλιάσθωσαν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θεοῦ, τερφθήτωσαν ἐν εὐφροσύνῃ.
68:3
But the righteous will be glad and rejoice before God; they will celebrate with joy.
ἄσατε τῷ θεῷ, ψάλατε τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ· ὁδοποιήσατε τῷ ἐπιβεβηκότι ἐπὶ δυσμῶν· Κύριος ὄνομα αὐτῷ· καὶ ἀγαλλιᾶσθε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ.
68:4
Sing to God! Sing praises to His name. Exalt Him who rides on the clouds (note: Or rides through the deserts)—His name is the LORD—and rejoice before Him.
ταραχθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ, τοῦ πατρὸς τῶν ὀρφανῶν καὶ κριτοῦ τῶν χηρῶν· ὁ θεὸς ἐν τόπῳ ἁγίῳ αὐτοῦ.
68:5
A father of the fatherless and a defender of widows is God in His holy habitation.
ὁ θεὸς κατοικίζει μονοτρόπους ἐν οἴκῳ, ἐξάγων πεπεδημένους ἐν ἀνδρίᾳ, ὁμοίως τοὺς παραπικραίνοντας, τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τάφοις.
68:6
God settles the lonely in families; He leads the prisoners out to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.
ὁ θεός, ἐν τῷ ἐκπορεύεσθαί σε ἐνώπιον τοῦ λαοῦ σου, ἐν τῷ διαβαίνειν σε τὴν ἔρημον, διάψαλμα.
68:7
O God, when You went out before Your people, when You marched through the wasteland, Selah
γῆ ἐσείσθη, καὶ γὰρ οἱ οὐρανοὶ ἔσταξαν ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ Σινά, ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ θεοῦ Ἰσραήλ.
68:8
the earth shook and the heavens poured down rain before God, the One on Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.
βροχὴν ἑκούσιον ἀφοριεῖς, ὁ θεός, τῇ κληρονομίᾳ σου· καὶ ἠσθένησεν, σὺ δὲ κατηρτίσω αὐτήν.
68:9
You sent abundant rain, O God; You refreshed Your weary inheritance.
τὰ ζῶά σου κατοικοῦσιν ἐν αὐτῇ, ἡτοίμασας ἐν τῇ χρηστότητί σου τῷ πτωχῷ.
68:10
Your flock settled therein; O God, from Your bounty You provided for the poor.
ὁ θεὸς (12)κύριος δώσει ῥῆμα τοῖς εὐαγγελιζομένοις δυνάμει πολλῇ,
68:11
The Lord gives the command; a great company of women proclaim it:
ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν δυνάμεων τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ, τοῦ ἀγαπητοῦ, καὶ ὡραιότητι τοῦ οἴκου διελέσθαι σκῦλα.
68:12
“Kings and their armies flee in haste; she who waits at home divides the plunder.
ἐὰν κοιμηθῆτε ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν κλήρων, πτέρυγες περιστερᾶς περιηργυρωμέναι, καὶ τὰ μετάφρενα αὐτῆς ἐν χλωρότητι χρυσίου. διαψαλμα.
68:13
Though you lie down among the sheepfolds, the wings of the dove are covered with silver, and her feathers with shimmering gold.”
ἐν τῷ διαστέλλειν τὸν ἐπουράνιον βασιλεῖς ἐπʼ αὐτῆς, χιονωθήσονται ἐν Σελμών.
68:14
When the Almighty (note: Hebrew Shaddai) scattered the kings in the land, it was like the snow falling on Zalmon.
ὄρος τοῦ θεοῦ ὄρος πῖον, ὄρος τετυρωμένον, ὄρος πῖον.
68:15
A mountain of God is Mount Bashan; a mountain of many peaks is Mount Bashan.
ἴνα τί ὑπολαμβάνετε, ὄρη τετυρωμένα τὸ ὄρος ὃ εὐδόκησεν ὁ θεὸς κατοικεῖν ἐν αὐτῷ· καὶ γὰρ ὁ κύριος κατασκηνώσει εἰς τέλος.
68:16
Why do you gaze in envy, O mountains of many peaks? This is the mountain God chose for His dwelling, where the LORD will surely dwell forever.
τὸ ἄρμα τοῦ θεοῦ μυριοπλάσιον, χιλιάδες εὐθηνούντων· ὁ κύριος ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐν Σινά, ἐν τῷ ἁγία).
68:17
The chariots of God are tens of thousands—thousands of thousands are they; the Lord is in His sanctuary as He was at Sinai.
ἀναβὰς εἰς ὕψος ᾐχμαλώτευσας αἰχμαλωσίαν, ἔλαβες δόματα ἐν ἀνθρώπῳ, καὶ γὰρ ἀπειθοῦντες τοῦ κατασκηνῶσαι.
68:18
You have ascended on high; You have led captives away. You have received gifts from men (note: Cited in Ephesians 4:8), even from the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there.
Κύριος ὁ θεὸς εὐλογητός, εὐλογητὸς Κύριος ἡμέραν καθʼ ἡμέραν. καὶ κατευοδώσει ἡμῖν ὁ θεὸς τῶν σαντηρίων ἡμῶν. διάψαλμα.
68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, the God of our salvation. Selah
ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ὁ θεὸς τοῦ σώζειν, καὶ τοῦ κυρίου αἱ διέξοδοι τοῦ θανατου.
68:20
Our God is a God of deliverance; the Lord GOD is our rescuer from death.
πλὴν ὁ θεὸς συνθλάσει κεφαλὰς ἐχθρῶν αὐτοῦ, κορυφὴν τριχὸς διαπορευομένων ἐν πλημμελίαις αὐτοῦ.
68:21
Surely God will crush the heads of His enemies, the hairy crowns of those who persist in guilty ways.
εἶπεν Κύριος Ἐκ Βασὰν ἐπιστρέψω, ἐπιστρέψω ἐν βυθοῖς θαλάσσης·
68:22
The Lord said, “I will retrieve them from Bashan, I will bring them up from the depths of the sea,
ὅπως ἂν βαφῇ ὁ πούς σου ἐν αἵματι, ἡ γλῶσσα τῶν κυνῶν σου ἐξ ἐχθρῶν παρʼ αὐτοῦ.
68:23
that your foot may be dipped in the blood of your foes—the tongues of your dogs in the same.”
ἐθεωρήθησαν αἱ πορίαι σου, ὁ θεός, αἱ πορίαι τοῦ θεοῦ μου τοῦ βασιλέως τοῦ ἐν τῷ ἁγίῳ·
68:24
They have seen Your procession, O God—the march of my God and King into the sanctuary.
προέφθασαν ἄρχοντες ἐχόμενοι ψαλλόντων, ἐν μέσῳ νεανίδων τυμπανιστριῶν.
68:25
The singers lead the way, the musicians follow after, among the maidens playing tambourines.
ἐν ἐκκλησίαις εὐλογεῖτε τὸν θεόν, τὸν κύριον ἐκ πηγῶν Ἰσραήλ.
68:26
Bless God in the great congregation; bless the LORD from the fountain of Israel.
ἐκεῖ Βενιαμεὶν νεώτερος ἐν ἐκστάσει, ἄρχοντες Ἰούδα ἡγεμόνες αὐτῶν, ἄρχοντες Ζαβουλὼν, ἄρχοντες Νεφθαλεί.
68:27
There is Benjamin, the youngest, ruling them, the princes of Judah in their company, the princes of Zebulun and of Naphtali.
ἔυτειλαι, θεός, τῇ δυνάμει σου, δυνάμαοσον, ὁ θεός, τοῦτο ὁ κατηρτίσω ἡμῖν.
68:28
Summon Your power, O God (note: LXX and Syriac; most Hebrew manuscripts Your God has summoned your power); show Your strength, O God, which You have exerted on our behalf.
ἀπὸ τοῦ ναοῦ σου ἐπὶ Ἰερουσαλὴμ σοὶ οἴσουσιν βασιλεῖς δῶρα.
68:29
Because of Your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring You gifts.
ἐπιτίμησον τοῖς θηρίοις τοῦ καλάμου· ἡ συναγωγὴ τῶν ταύρων ἐν ταῖς δαμάλεσιν τῶν λαῶν τοῦ μὴ ἀποκλεισθῆναι τοὺς δεδοκιμασμένους τῷ ἀργυρίῳ· διασκόρπισον ἔθνη τὰ τοὺς πολέμους θέλοντα.
68:30
Rebuke the beast in the reeds, the herd of bulls among the calves of the nations, until it submits, bringing bars of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in war.
ἥξουσιν πρέσβεις ἐξ Αἰγύπτου. Αἰθιοπία προφθάσει χεῖρα αὐτῆς τῷ θεῷ.
68:31
Envoys will arrive from Egypt; Cush (note: That is, the upper Nile region) will stretch out her hands to God.
αἱ βασιλεῖαι τῆς γῆς, ᾄσατε τῷ θεῷ, ψάλατε τῷ κυρίῳ. διαάψαλμα.
68:32
Sing to God, O kingdoms of the earth; sing praises to the Lord—Selah
ψάλατε τῷ θεῷ τῷ ἐπιβεβηκότι ἐπὶ τὸν οὐρανὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατὰ ἀνατολάς. ἰδοὺ δώσει ἐν τῇ φωνῇ αὐτοῦ φωνὴν δυνάμεως.
68:33
to Him who rides upon the highest heavens of old; behold, His mighty voice resounds.
δότε δόξαν τῷ θεῷ· ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ ἡ μεγαλοπρεπία αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ ἐν ταῖς νεφέλαις.
68:34
Ascribe the power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose strength is in the skies.
θαυμαστὸς ὁ θεὸς ἐν τοῖς ὁσίοις αὐτοῦ· ὁ θεὸς Ἰσραήλ, αὐτὸς δώσει δύναμιν καὶ κραταίωσιν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ· καὶ εὐλογητὸς ὁ θεός.
68:35
O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to His people. Blessed be God!
