A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God. Earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You. My body yearns for You in a dry and weary land without water.
O God, Thou art my God, earnestly will I seek Thee; My soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee, In a dry and weary land, where no water is.

So have I looked for Thee in the sanctuary, To see Thy power and Thy glory. .
63:2 So I have seen You in the sanctuary and beheld Your power and glory.
For Thy lovingkindness is better than life; My lips shall praise Thee.
63:3 Because Your loving devotion is better than life, my lips will glorify You.
So will I bless Thee as long as I live; In Thy name will I lift up my hands.
63:4 So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift my hands.
My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness; And my mouth doth praise Thee with joyful lips;
63:5 My soul is satisfied as with the richest of foods; with joyful lips my mouth will praise You.
When I remember Thee upon my couch, And meditate on Thee in the night-watches.
63:6 When I remember You on my bed, I think of You through the watches of the night.
For Thou hast been my help, And in the shadow of Thy wings do I rejoice.
63:7 For You are my help; I will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings.
My soul cleaveth unto Thee; Thy right hand holdeth me fast.
63:8 My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, Shall go into the nethermost parts of the earth.
63:9 But those who seek my life to destroy it will go into the depths of the earth.
They shall be hurled to the power of the sword; They shall be a portion for foxes.
63:10 They will fall to the power of the sword; they will become a portion for foxes.
But the king shall rejoice in God; Every one that sweareth by Him shall glory; For the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
63:11 But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by Him will exult, for the mouths of liars will be shut.
