Εἰς τὸ τέλος, ὐπὲρ Ἰδιθούν· ψαλμός τῷ Δαυείδ.
62:1
For the choirmaster. According to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him.
Οὐχὶ τῷ θεῷ ὑποταγήσεται ἤ ψυχἠμου ; παρʼ αὐτοῦ γὰρ τὸ σωτήριόν μου.
62:2
He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.
καὶ γὰρ αὐτὸς ὁ θεός μου καὶ σωτὴρ μου, ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου· οὐ μὴ σαλευθῶ ἐπὶ πλεῖον.
62:3
How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you throw him down like a leaning wall or a tottering fence?
ἕως πότε ἐπιτίθεσθε ἐπʼ ἄνθρωπον ; φονεύετε πάντες ὡς τοίχῳ κεκλιμένῳ καὶ φραγμῷ ὠσμένῳ.
62:4
They fully intend to cast him down from his lofty perch; they delight in lies; with their mouths they bless, but inwardly they curse. Selah
πλὴν τὴν τιμήν μου ἐβουλεύσαντο ἀπώσασθαι, ἔδραμον ἐν δίψει τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν εὐλογοῦσαν, καὶ τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῶν κατηρῶντο.
62:5
Rest in God alone, O my soul, for my hope comes from Him.
πλὴν τῷ θεῷ ὑποτάγηθι, ψυχῇ μου, ὅτι παρʼ αὐτοῦ ἡ ὑπομονή μου.
62:6
He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress; I will not be shaken.
ὅτι αὐτὸς θεός μου καὶ σαωτήρ μου, ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου· οὐ μὴ μεταναστεύσω.
62:7
My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God.
ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ τὸ σωτήριόν μου καὶ ἡ δόξα μου· διάγαλμα. ὁ θεὸς τῆς βοηθείας μου, καὶ ἡ ἐλπίς μου ἐπὶ τῷ θεῷ.
62:8
Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah
ἐλπίσατε ἐπʼ αὐτόν, πᾶσα συναγωγὴ λαοῦ· ἐκχέετε ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν· ὁ θεὸς βοηθὸς ἡμῶν. διάψαλμα.
62:9
Lowborn men are but a vapor; the exalted are but a lie. Weighed on the scale, they go up; together they are but a vapor.
πλὴν μάταιοι οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ψευδεῖς οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἀνθρώπαων ἐν ζυγοῖς τοῦ ἀδικῆσαι. αὐτοὶ ἐκ ματαιότητος ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό.
62:10
Place no trust in extortion or false hope in stolen goods. If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them.
μὴ ἐλπίζετε ἐπὶ ἀδικίαν, καὶ ἐπὶ ἁρπάγματα μὴ ἐπιποθεῖτε· πλοῦτος ἐὰν ῥέῃ, μὴ προστίθεσθε καρδίαν.
62:11
God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God,
ἅπαξ ἐλάλησεν ὁ θεός, δύο ταῦτα ἤκουσα, ὅτι τὸ κράτος τοῦ θεοῦ
62:12
and loving devotion to You, O Lord. For You will repay each man according to his deeds (note: Cited in Romans 2:6).
