For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. Of David. Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.
Hear my cry, O God; Attend unto my prayer.

From the end of the earth will I call unto Thee, when my heart fainteth; Lead me to a rock that is too high for me.
61:2 From the ends of the earth I call out to You whenever my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For Thou hast been a refuge for me, A tower of strength in the face of the enemy.
61:3 For You have been my refuge, a tower of strength against the enemy.
I will dwell in Thy Tent for ever; I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings. Selah
61:4 Let me dwell in Your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah
For Thou, O God, hast heard my vows; Thou hast granted the heritage of those that fear Thy name. .
61:5 For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me the inheritance reserved for those who fear Your name.
Mayest Thou add days unto the king's days! May his years be as many generations!
61:6 Increase the days of the king’s life; may his years span many generations.
May he be enthroned before God for ever! Appoint mercy and truth, that they may preserve him.
61:7 May he sit enthroned in God’s presence forever; appoint Your loving devotion and Your faithfulness to guard him.
So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, That I may daily perform my vows.
61:8 Then I will ever sing praise to Your name and fulfill my vows day by day.
