Psalms 4 — parallel

4:1

For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ בִּנְגִינ֗וֹת מִזְמ֥וֹר לְדָוִֽד׃ בְּקָרְאִ֡י עֲנֵ֤נִי׀ אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י צִדְקִ֗י בַּ֭צָּר הִרְחַ֣בְתָּ לִּ֑י חָ֝נֵּ֗נִי וּשְׁמַ֥ע תְּפִלָּתִֽי׃

4:2

How long, O men, will my honor be maligned? How long will you love vanity and seek after ? Selah

בְּנֵ֥י אִ֡ישׁ עַד־ מֶ֬ה כְבוֹדִ֣י לִ֭כְלִמָּה תֶּאֱהָב֣וּן רִ֑יק תְּבַקְשׁ֖וּ כָזָ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃

4:3

Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.

וּדְע֗וּ כִּֽי־ הִפְלָ֣ה יְ֭הוָה חָסִ֣יד ל֑וֹ יְהוָ֥ה יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע בְּקָרְאִ֥י אֵלָֽיו׃

4:4

Be angry, yet do not ; on your bed, search your heart and be still. Selah

רִגְז֗וּ וְֽאַל־ תֶּ֫חֱטָ֥אוּ אִמְר֣וּ בִ֭לְבַבְכֶם עַֽל־ מִשְׁכַּבְכֶ֗ם וְדֹ֣מּוּ סֶֽלָה׃

4:5

Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.

זִבְח֥וּ זִבְחֵי־ צֶ֑דֶק וּ֝בִטְח֗וּ אֶל־ יְהוָֽה׃

4:6

Many ask, “Who can show us the good?” Shine the light of Your face upon us, O LORD.

רַבִּ֥ים אֹמְרִים֮ מִֽי־ יַרְאֵ֪נ֫וּ ט֥וֹב נְֽסָה־ עָ֭לֵינוּ א֨וֹר פָּנֶ֬יךָ יְהוָֽה׃

4:7

You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.

נָתַ֣תָּה שִׂמְחָ֣ה בְלִבִּ֑י מֵעֵ֬ת דְּגָנָ֖ם וְתִֽירוֹשָׁ֣ם רָֽבּוּ׃

4:8

I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

בְּשָׁל֣וֹם יַחְדָּו֮ אֶשְׁכְּבָ֪ה וְאִ֫ישָׁ֥ן כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֣ה לְבָדָ֑ד לָ֝בֶ֗טַח תּוֹשִׁיבֵֽנִי׃
