Parallel
Psalms 43
King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly (note: Or, unmerciful) nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man (note: Heb. from a man of deceit, and iniquity).
Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.
For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to the place where You dwell.
Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy (note: Heb. the gladness of my joy): yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the harp, O God, my God.
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
