Parallel

Psalms 2

Louis Segond 1910 · Berean Standard Bible

2:1
Pourquoi ce tumulte parmi les nations,
Why do the nations rage (note: Or noisily assemble; see Revelation 11:18.) and the peoples plot in vain?
2:2
Pourquoi les rois de la terre se soulèvent-ils
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One (note: Cited in Acts 4:25–26):
2:3
Brisons leurs liens,
“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.”
2:4
Celui qui siège dans les cieux rit,
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.
2:5
Puis il leur parle dans sa colère,
Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:
2:6
C’est moi qui ai oint mon roi
“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”
2:7
Je publierai le décret;
I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father (note: Literally today I have begotten You; cited in Acts 13:33, Hebrews 1:5, and Hebrews 5:5).
2:8
Demande-moi et je te donnerai les nations pour héritage,
Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.
2:9
Tu les briseras avec une verge de fer,
You will break them (note: LXX You will rule them or You will shepherd them) with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”
Et maintenant, rois, conduisez-vous avec sagesse!
Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.
Servez l’Éternel avec crainte,
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Baisez le fils, de peur qu’il ne s’irrite,
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
