Parallel

Psalms 29

Louis Segond 1910 · Berean Standard Bible

Psaume de David.
A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Rendez à l’Éternel gloire pour son nom!
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness (note: Or in holy attire).
La voix de l’Éternel retentit sur les eaux,
The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.
La voix de l’Éternel est puissante,
The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.
La voix de l’Éternel brise les cèdres;
The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
Il les fait bondir comme des veaux,
He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion (note: That is, Mount Hermon) like a young wild ox.
La voix de l’Éternel fait jaillir des flammes de feu.
The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.
La voix de l’Éternel fait trembler le désert;
The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
La voix de l’Éternel fait enfanter les biches,
The voice of the LORD twists the oaks (note: Or LORD makes the deer to calve) and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”
L’Éternel était sur son trône lors du déluge;
The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.
L’Éternel donne la force à son peuple;
The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.
