Psalms 23

King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd (note: See Revelation 7:17.); I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures (note: Heb. pastures of tender grass): he leadeth me beside the still waters (note: waters of quietness).
He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death (note: Or the valley of deep darkness), I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest (note: Heb. makest fat) my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
