For the choirmaster. To the tune of “The Doe of the Dawn.” A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why have You forsaken me (note: Cited in Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34)? Why are You so far from saving me, so far from my words of groaning?
Mein Gott, mein Gott, warum hast du mich verlassen? Ich heule; aber meine Hilfe ist ferne.

Mein Gott, des Tages rufe ich, so antwortest du nicht; und des Nachts schweige ich auch nicht.
22:2
I cry out by day, O my God, but You do not answer, and by night, but I have no rest.
Aber du bist heilig, der du wohnest unter dem Lobe Israels.
22:3
Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
Unsre Väter hofften auf dich; und da sie hofften, halfst du ihnen aus.
22:4
In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them.
Zu dir schrieen sie und wurden errettet; sie hofften auf dich und wurden nicht zu Schanden.
22:5
They cried out to You and were set free; they trusted in You and were not disappointed.
Ich aber bin ein Wurm und kein Mensch, ein Spott der Leute und Verachtung des Volks.
22:6
But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.
Alle, die mich sehen, spotten mein, sperren das Maul auf und schütteln den Kopf:
22:7
All who see me mock me; they sneer and shake their heads:
„Er klage es dem HErrn; der helfe ihm aus und errette ihn, hat er Lust zu ihm.”
22:8
“He trusts in the LORD, let the LORD deliver him; let the LORD rescue him, since He delights in him (note: Cited in Matthew 27:43).”
Denn du hast mich aus meiner Mutter Leibe gezogen; du warst meine Zuversicht, da ich noch an meiner Mutter Brüsten war.
22:9
Yet You brought me forth from the womb; You made me secure at my mother’s breast.
Auf dich bin ich geworfen von Mutterleib an; du bist mein Gott von meiner Mutter Schoß an.
22:10
From birth I was cast upon You; from my mother’s womb You have been my God.
Sei nicht ferne von mir, denn Angst ist nahe; denn es ist hier kein Helfer.
22:11
Be not far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.
Große Farren haben mich umgeben, gewaltige Stiere haben mich umringt.
22:12
Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
Ihren Rachen sperren sie auf gegen mich wie ein brüllender und reißender Löwe.
22:13
They open their jaws against me like lions that roar and maul.
Ich bin ausgeschüttet wie Wasser, alle meine Gebeine haben sich zertrennt; mein Herz ist in meinem Leibe wie zerschmolzen Wachs.
22:14
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are disjointed. My heart is like wax; it melts away within me.
Meine Kräfte sind vertrocknet wie eine Scherbe, und meine Zunge klebt an meinem Gaumen, und du legst mich in des Todes Staub.
22:15
My strength (note: MT; or My mouth, a possible reading of the original Hebrew text) is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You lay me in the dust of death.
Denn Hunde haben mich umgeben, und der Bösen Rotte hat mich umringt; sie haben meine Hände und Füße durchgraben.
22:16
For dogs surround me; a band of evil men encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet (note: DSS, LXX, Vulgate, and Syriac; most MT like a lion at my hands and feet).
Ich kann alle meine Gebeine zählen; sie aber schauen und sehen ihre Lust an mir.
22:17
I can count all my bones; they stare and gloat over me.
Sie teilen meine Kleider unter sich und werfen das Los um mein Gewand.
22:18
They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing (note: Cited in John 19:24; see also Matthew 27:35, Mark 15:24, and Luke 23:34).
Aber du, HErr, sei nicht ferne; meine Stärke, eile, mir zu helfen!
22:19
But You, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
Errette meine Seele vom Schwert, meine einsame von den Hunden!
22:20
Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of wild dogs.
Hilf mir aus dem Rachen des Löwen und errette mich von den Einhörnern!
22:21
Save me from the mouth of the lion; at the horns of the wild oxen You have answered me!
Ich will deinen Namen predigen meinen Brüdern; ich will dich in der Gemeinde rühmen.
22:22
I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; I will praise You in the assembly (note: LXX I will sing Your praises in the assembly; cited in Hebrews 2:12.).
Rühmet den HErrn, die ihr ihn fürchtet; es ehre ihn aller Same Jakobs, und vor ihm scheue sich aller Same Israels.
22:23
You who fear the LORD, praise Him! All descendants of Jacob, honor Him! All offspring of Israel, revere Him!
Denn er hat nicht verachtet noch verschmäht das Elend des Armen und sein Antlitz vor ihm nicht verborgen; und da er zu ihm schrie, hörte er's.
22:24
For He has not despised or detested the torment of the afflicted. He has not hidden His face from him, but has attended to his cry for help.
Dich will ich preisen in der großen Gemeinde; ich will meine Gelübde bezahlen vor denen, die ihn fürchten.
22:25
My praise for You resounds in the great assembly; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear You.
Die Elenden sollen essen, dass sie satt werden; und die nach dem HErrn fragen, werden ihn preisen; euer Herz soll ewiglich leben.
22:26
The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!
Es werden gedenken und sich zum HErrn bekehren aller Welt Enden und vor ihm anbeten alle Geschlechter der Heiden.
22:27
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him.
Denn des HErrn ist das Reich, und er herrscht unter den Heiden.
22:28
For dominion belongs to the LORD and He rules over the nations.
Alle Fetten auf Erden werden essen und anbeten; vor ihm werden die Kniee beugen alle, die im Staub liegen, und die, so kümmerlich leben.
22:29
All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before Him—even those unable to preserve their lives.
Er wird einen Samen haben, der ihm dient; vom HErrn wird man verkündigen zu Kindeskind.
22:30
Posterity will serve Him; they will declare the Lord to a new generation.
Sie werden kommen und seine Gerechtigkeit predigen dem Volk, das geboren wird, dass er's getan hat.
22:31
They will come and proclaim His righteousness to a people yet unborn—all that He has done.
