Lobet den HErr! denn unsren Gott loben, das ist ein köstlich Ding; solch Lob ist lieblich und schön.
Hallelujah! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and lovely to praise Him!
Der HErr baut Jerusalem und bringt zusammen die Verjagten Israels.
The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers the exiles of Israel.
Er heilt, die zerbrochnes Herzens sind, und verbindet ihre Schmerzen.
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Er zählt die Sterne und nennt sie alle mit Namen.
He determines the number of the stars; He calls them each by name.
Unser HErr ist groß und von großer Kraft; und ist unbegreiflich, wie er regiert.
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding has no limit.
Der HErr richtet auf die Elenden und stößt die Gottlosen zu Boden.
The LORD sustains the humble, but casts the wicked to the ground.
Singet umeinander dem HErrn mit Dank und lobet unsren Gott mit Harfen,
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music on the harp to our God,
der den Himmel mit Wolken verdeckt und gibt Regen auf Erden; der Gras auf Bergen wachsen lässt;
who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow on the hills.

He provides food for the animals, and for the young ravens when they call.
Er hat nicht Lust an der Stärke des Rosses noch Gefallen an eines Mannes Schenkeln.
He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
Der HErr hat Gefallen an denen, die ihn fürchten, die auf seine Güte hoffen.
The LORD is pleased with those who fear Him, who hope in His loving devotion.
Preise, Jerusalem, den HErrn; lobe Zion, deinen Gott!
Exalt the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion!
Denn er macht fest die Riegel deiner Tore und segnet deine Kinder drinnen.
For He strengthens the bars of your gates and blesses the children within you.
Er schafft deinen Grenzen Frieden und sättigt dich mit dem besten Weizen.
He makes peace at your borders; He fills you with the finest wheat.
Er sendet seine Rede auf Erden; sein Wort läuft schnell.
He sends forth His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly.
Er gibt Schnee wie Wolle, er streut Reif wie Asche.
He spreads the snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes;
Er wirft seine Schloßenbedeutet: große Hagelkörner wie Bissen; wer kann bleiben vor seinem Frost?
He casts forth His hail like pebbles (note: Or like crumbs or like morsels). Who can withstand His icy blast?
Er spricht, so zerschmilzt es; er lässt seinen Wind wehen, so taut es auf.
He sends forth His word and melts them; He unleashes His winds, and the waters flow.
Er zeigt Jakob sein Wort, Israel seine Sitten und Rechte.
He declares His word to Jacob, His statutes and judgments to Israel.
So tut er keinen Heiden, noch lässt er sie wissen seine Rechte. Halleluja!
He has done this for no other nation; they do not know His judgments (note: MT; DSS and LXX He has not made known to them His judgments). Hallelujah!
