Αἰνεῖτε τὸ ὄνομα Κυρίου, αἰνεῖτε δοῦλοι Κύριον,
135:1
Hallelujah! Praise the name of the LORD. Give praise, O servants of the LORD,
οἱ ἑστῶτες ἐν οἴκῳ Κυρίου, ἐν αὐλαῖς οἴκου θεοῦ ἡμῶν.
135:2
who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
αἰνεῖτε τὸν κύριον, ὅτι ἀγαθὸς Κύριος· ψάλατε τῷ ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ, ὅτι καλόν·
135:3
Hallelujah, for the LORD is good; sing praises to His name, for it is lovely.
ὅτι τὸν Ἰακὼβ ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτῷ ὁ κύριος. Ἰσραὴλ εἰς περιουσιασμὸν αὐτοῦ.
135:4
For the LORD has chosen Jacob as His own, Israel as His treasured possession.
ὅτι ἔγνων ὅτι μέγας Κύριος, καὶ ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν παρὰ πάντας τοὺς θεούς·
135:5
For I know that the LORD is great; our Lord is above all gods.
πάντα ὅσα ἠθέλησεν ἐποίησεν ὁ κύριος ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ καὶ ἐν τῇ γῆ. ἐν ταῖς θαλάσσαις καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἀβύσσοις·
135:6
The LORD does all that pleases Him in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and in all their depths.
ἀνάγων νεφέλας ἐξ ἐσχάτου γῆς, ἀστραπὰς εἰς ὑετὸν ἐποίησεν· ὁ ἐξάγων ἀνέμους ἐκ θησαυρῶν αὐτοῦ.
135:7
He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He generates the lightning with the rain and brings forth the wind from His storehouses.
ὃς ἐπάταξεν τὰ πρωτότοκα Αἰγύπτου ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους·
135:8
He struck down the firstborn of Egypt, of both man and beast.
ἐξαπέστειλεν σημεῖα καὶ τέρατα ἐν μέσῳ σου, Αἴγυπτε, ἐν Φαραὼ καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ.
135:9
He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his servants.
ἐπάταξεν ἔθνη πολλά, καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν βασιλεῖς κραταιούς,
135:10
He struck down many nations and slaughtered mighty kings:
τὸν Σηὼν βασιλέα τῶν Ἀμορραίων, καὶ τὸν Ὢγ βασιλέα τῆς Βασάν, καὶ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας Χανάαν·
135:11
Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kings of Canaan.
καὶ ἔδωκεν τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν κληρονομίαν, κληρονομίαν Ἰσραὴλ δούλῳ αὐτοῦ.
135:12
He gave their land as an inheritance, as a heritage to His people Israel.
Κύριε, τὸ ὄνομά σου εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, Κύριε, τὸ μνημόσυνόν σου εἰς γενεὰν καὶ γενεάν.
135:13
Your name, O LORD, endures forever, Your renown, O LORD, through all generations.
οἰκτείρει Κύριος τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ, καὶ ἐπὶ τοῖς δούλοις αὐτοῦ παρακληθήσεται.
135:14
For the LORD will vindicate His people (note: Or will judge His people; see also LXX; cited in Hebrews 10:30.) and will have compassion on His servants.
τὸ εἴδωλα τῶν ἐθνῶν ἀργύριον καὶ χρυσίον, ἔργα χειρῶν ἀνθρώπων;
135:15
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.
στόμα ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐ λαλοῦσιν, ὀφθαλμοὺς ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐκ ὄψονται·
135:16
They have mouths, but cannot speak; they have eyes, but cannot see;
ὧτα ἔχουσιν καὶ οὐκ ἐνωτισθήσονται, οὐδέ γάρ ἐστιν πνεῦμα ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν.
135:17
they have ears, but cannot hear; nor is there breath in their mouths.
ὅμοιοι αὐτοῖς γένοιντο πάντες οἱ ποιοῦντες αὐτὰ καὶ πάντες οἱ πεποιθότες ἐν αὐτοῖς.
135:18
Those who make them become like them, as do all who trust in them.
οἶκος Ἰσραήλ, εὐλογήσατε τὸν κύριον, οἶκος Ἀαρόν, εὐλογήσατε τὸν κύριον·
135:19
O house of Israel, bless the LORD; O house of Aaron, bless the LORD;
οἶκος Λευεί, εὐλογήσατε τὸν κύριον, οἱ φοβούμενοι τὸν κύριον, εὐλογήσατε τὸν κύριον.
135:20
O house of Levi, bless the LORD; you who fear the LORD, bless the LORD!
εὐλογητὸς Κύριος ἐκ Σιών, ὁ κατοικῶν Ἰερουσαλήμ.
135:21
Blessed be the LORD from Zion—He who dwells in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!
