Ein Lied Davids im höhern Chor. HERR, mein Herz ist nicht hoffärtig, und meine Augen sind nicht stolz; ich wandle nicht in großen Dingen, die mir zu hoch sind.
A song of ascents. Of David. My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty. I do not aspire to great things or matters too lofty for me.
131:2
Ja, ich habe meine Seele gesetzt und gestillt; so ist meine Seele in mir wie ein entwöhntes Kind bei seiner Mutter.
Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
131:3
Israel, hoffe auf den HERRn von nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forevermore.
