Parallel

Psalms 131

King James Version (1769 Blayney revision, with Apocrypha) · Berean Standard Bible

Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise (note: Heb. walk) myself in great matters, or in things too high (note: Heb. wonderful) for me.
A song of ascents. Of David. My heart is not proud, O LORD, my eyes are not haughty. I do not aspire to great things or matters too lofty for me.
Surely I have behaved and quieted myself (note: Heb. my soul), as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.
Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth (note: Heb. from now) and for ever.
O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, both now and forevermore.
